A Surprising Musical Find for a lover of Harmony living Up North

The Canadian Tenors

The knockout sensation singing group ‘The Canadian Tenors’ has been a surprising musical find for a lover of harmony living up north – and of course that lover living up north would be me.

Okay, okay…you’re probably thinking “this guy is on the Internet even way Up North, so what’s his excuse for not noticing them sooner? What’s the big deal for him?”

The answers may or may not surprise you, but they’re pretty simple really.

Just because I have access to the Internet doesn’t automatically equate to me knowing everything that goes on within the sylvan glades of its musical domains – or any of the other billion or two domains floating around out there for that matter either. I’m not a cruiser of the Net like so many folks in our wired age are. I’m a dinosaur marooned in a New World still trying to figure out how to use his clumsy big toes to tap these tiny keys.

Well maybe not quite that bad, but trust me there are still days when I look at my computer and seriously wonder if the thing will blow up when I hit ‘Any Key’…

The other thing is that I come from an ethnic tradition of superb harmony singers, whether in the form of duets, trios, quartets or full blown large choirs. And even though my own voice has grown rusty with age and cigarette smoke I am still absolutely in love with the pristine sounds of perfect-pitch vocal harmonies vibrating the sounds of my memories.

One of my brothers sprung from that same tradition was the one who happened to send his far-north sibling a link to one of The Canadian Tenor’s songs – and I was hooked but good!

I won’t pretend to do a Bio here on these guys – you can go to their official site for yourselves at www.canadiantenors.com/ to read all about their incredible success and hear more of their fantastic vocal renditions.

I just wanted to let you know about them and share one of their beautiful Christmas songs with you on this post as a Merry Christmas wish from me to you, as well as tell you why they were such a surprising musical find for a lover of harmony living up north – I hope you’ll enjoy them just as much as I do.
